A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the Haney family – four generations! This is one of the reasons I love family photography – capturing this moment for not only the great grandparents, but for that four year old boy to have when he has grandchildren. Talk about family history!

Deep and mysterious
The grotto beckons
the moss enticing my hand
to smooth its velvety softness
the stream draws me in
to dabble my feet in the water
to swim though the cave
into another world
where gnomes live in little forest houses
where fairies light on feathery ferns
where wonder
is alive and well
